I looking for firmware developer who can make firmware of some brands(or Chinese)MP4 player 4.3" touch screen, I am going to use devices for the museum as an audio guide. The main concern is about price of the firmware and timeline (time of delivery).

The main tasks consist from the following:

1. Once people turn on the "4.3" touch screen MP4 player", they should see language select icons on the main menus, mainly:
ex. <English> <Spanish> <French> <Korean>

2. By clicking on a language icon, there will be sub-menus appear as list of thumbnail photo files (AVI, MP4,JPG, WMP, GIF).

ex. <number of Picasso’s pictures> <various Rodin's artworks photos> < etc >

3. When people click on a photo, relevantly they should be able to listen synchronized recording or enjoy short-time introduction movie with the selected language from the main menu.

you wont find any here for that im afraid as all the source for these devices are locked down - for custom development you are going to have to talk to factories direct as you are wanting somethng that hooks into the root of the players functionality and modders do not have that access at all, like i said, for this project you will need a complete custom system developing and that will cost alot .. alot and they will make you order loads and loads, if at all the will do it

sorry to sound negative but things like this are very very bespoke, will take alot of work

you may be better looking into Android systems, and either look to getting a custom Android app developed and then coders could make that the default program to boot up, or, if the android OS can play flash, get a flash application made and then run it on the player

in fact flash maybe an option, getting the app made in flash means its redistributable in may place and devices and you may be able to get PMP that play SWF/flash files, like the recent.
