Well, the toaster is up to you,but I really would not have been counting on a presale for a wedding gift, thats just me.The Rocktab would have been a unique idea, but then electronics are a tricky thing. Some people go gaga over them, others go meh....sometimes the toaster is the better choice from that standpoint.Well,I would just wait for them to arrive and present it then, give him a toaster to hold him over, lol.

Yeah, I'll probably be lame and end up doing that. I guess relying on the presale wasn't a super smart idea, but I would of thought 3 weeks of leverage would be more than enough.
We did both get degrees in IT, so I'm fairly sure he's into electronics and stuff :P

Lets just say that I'm not as old as your computer store is.

White, black...an ole lady like me could care less about looks....just hope I don't have to double up on my blood pressure meds when I get it like I did for last computer I bought. Those experienced people who inspect before mailing is my only concern. D2K has shown us the lovely white color working and I expect mine to work just as well as the one he reviewed...What are the chances of that actually being the case? I'll wait patiently for mine because I'm old. These young folks having to wait an extra week might get more hyper about it.

What comes in the box? Will it have usb dongle, power plug, stylus pen, car charger, stand(what does that look like?) and OH YEAH...instruction booklet?

As I received a test unit,it came with squat, lol, but I think its on the order page what it comes with.It looks like a viewing stand and car charger(which,Im sorry to say, wont work with the Rocktab, but it will work with anything else you have that uses usb to charge),and of course it will come with a charger.Still dont know if it has a micro usb to full size usb adapter,so you will have to wait for Raz to answer that. The instruction booklet,if it even comes with one, will be pretty much useless,Ive yet to see an English translated one any good yet, lol. If you have questions on how to use a feature, come on here and Ill do my best to explain it to you :)

Thats it take it out on the old guy ;) Ive learned one thing that has helped me immensely in my life, and that is patience and understanding, you need it in IT...it feels like all the newbies in the world have found their way to my door over the years...its fun and exiting to teach about new things, and its an integral part of my business(I run new user classes 3 times a week, every week, and they are packed...lots of folks wanting to learn out there :) )What is your speciality?

So I guess your Apad experience was really a downer for you. My gut told me to wait a few more months. I watched hours of apad video on youtube. Your video was the one that sold me on the rocktab. You sounded so impressed with it. There's going to be loads more of video reviews when they are finally delivered and it should be quite a show! Thanks to Raz for the first video...except for the black paint job...hilarious!!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN....

I was really really really looking forward to the black one. It really disappoints me I have to get the white version now. Would it be possible to get a picture of the white version up on here? I really dont want to wait any longer for my Rocktab, but if the white version doesnt look too bad, why not?

This really is some bad news, now where is the good news? :P

Too bad I ordered the 8GB version, so no good news for me ^^. The white version also looks good so it should be fine for me.

I'm still waiting for info about the cases
