I've been watching this for some time. Some say yes, some say no. Personally, I don't know. There is a short, mighty short video showing it in action: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... WFg98m8Ddg

Alright that is crap!
And it's version 2.1!

If this turns out to be true I might have to buy it back :o ops:
But I could see how this could be faked, but still it turns up the possibility on the other sc9800 players.

And dang that thread is 79 pages long.

The video sure makes it seem real, at least. Still don't know for sure or not though.

if it wasn't for the video i would of totally thought it'd be fake.

You could just load some pictures and view them through player and take pictures making it look like its "running" android. However, like you said that video makes you question that.

Exactly. They're using the slide to unlock, etc.

Looks real, quite interesting. The SoChip is supposedly ARM based, so i assume someone figured a way to load Android on to it.

Frankly, the only think that's surprising is that no one has tried to use the SC9800 for android to begin with. Given it's video prowess, I would have thought it would be at least as capable as the telechips devices. Anyone know if the SC9800 is Arm11??

Well I think a lot of devices could probably run android as long as they fell into the hands of someone that's determined and smart enough to port android to it.

The SC9800 is a capable chip. Hopefully this goes somewhere.
