The E5 doesn't do anything to change the SQ, it just help to add more power driving your earphones better. Some people mistake the E5 as device that improves SQ, it doesn't, a device like the E7 can change SQ as it has a WM8470 DAC built into it.

This player really seems good from what I read here.
Would you suggest it to a person who normally uses it to hear music, but also would use that to see films with friends by connecting it to the TV?

Haven't used the TV-out, but I would say yes. It plays music well, organization is decent, and it's a good general-purpose video player. The main thing it's bad at is 720p or higher. So if you want HD, go with one of the Ainol players.

Its a good all round player and its the smallest one we have with TV out at the moment, it would fit your needs fine.

I had intended to do a more detailed review before I gave this away, but didn't find the time. But yes, I would recommend this as a music player. I didn't get a chance to test the TV out, but I did load some music and videos on it and showed my nephew how to use it. It displays album art and has an option where you can create a favorites list of songs on it.

Yeah he loves it. I also told him to watch your video review to learn more about the player. Teenagers can figure this stuff out easily, so I don't worry. You are really doing these companies a service by posting those 10 minute reviews.

This is a basic player, but I found that makes it easier to use. The UI is very straight forward, basically all i had to do was show him how to turn it on and off.

I kept the E5 for myself, so I feel kind of guilty.............

I'm almost convincing myself this would be a great bargain :)

The only thing that worries me is the custom, since some friends that bought objects from China had to wait at least a month, if not much more, to have their stuff delivered...
Moreover I can't seem to find any detailed information on clearance fees in my country...

It doesn't seem that expensive, so you can easily put your conscience at bay, you know how :P

I can tell you that Italian customs id pretty bad, you may end up paying about 30% duty on it. However sometimes parcels can get through just fine.

Yep... I asked details to a friend of mine who bought from China and he said the package was held for about 4 (four) months and that I have to pay extra money for the time the pakcage stays in the custom (so the slower they are, the more I have to pay - thank you Italy!), plus they will send me documents to state what is the content of the box and its value, that I will have to compile and send them back (more time wasted)...

He also said that usually the stricter controls are on packages worth >$30. Since from what I read you ship with a value of 25$ it shouldn't be a problem... Guess it's just a matter of luck at this point
