By all rights this should be a good seller for Window. Unfortunately, the industrial design is probably not going to be enough to balance the fact that this is Just Another SC9800 Player with no killer hook and, in all likelihood, Window is going to let it rot on the vine.

Always nice to see a very happy user, though.

Hi,

viewing angles are OK. Like at most average PMPs.

Player works well, as I already mentioned.
1080p NULL PROBLEMO !
Also FM radio is ok ( with earphones, of course ).
I have had some other PMPs with total useless FM radio,
it was just for advertising in specifications...
One new noticing: battery is better with each charging.
And the price 111 $ is UNBEATABLE.
Believe me, I have had a lot of PMPs.
And again: this is the PMP with working OTG if You use little spy cameras...
or if You want to watch from micro SD card directly.

P.

I've seen some more 7" PMPs on the market and I like that this has the SC9800 chip in it as such a low price. This is cheaper than the V8000HDY i bought. The distinctive element on this Window G91 is the all metal frame. This reminds me of the OS-72HR.

as it uses the sc9800 then yes, it can play files in the MKV container, but remember that MKV is just a holder/container, it depends on what video codec is used and audio codec and how they have been created, not as simple as just saying MKV unfortunately

welcome to the forums

Hi, Maderin 1,

I do not know if I am still the only G91 owner in this superb forum but let me know a link to some MKV files and I will test it.
Null problemo.

Bye.

yes, you are still the only one :) unique, there is a thread dedicated to links to test files where you can try samples of many different types of files

Ok fine, unique as always...
I have tried several files from MP4 thread all Matroska MKV, blueray as well and several from official Windows HD page.
Untill now I have not found a not playable sample.
All smooth, w/o any errors...

Now I am going to Telepad 10.1" thread.
I need some infos how this Tablet plays 720 and 1080p...
If this is OK will be my next buy at Mp4 nation.

Bye.

I reside in CA, USA and purchased the Window G91 about 3 weeks ago and it has been great. I personally have a Western Digital Media Player and I feel that Window G91 definitely has a one up on it. I decided to purchase the Window G91 because modlar uploaded some pictures that were very detailed and I couldn't resist the sleek design. I used to have alot of trouble playing MKV's with my WD Media player but no problem at all with the Window G91. I really pushed this product to the limit by constantly loading the device with 1080p videos and it never stalled on me once, never. I am very impressed with this product and was very skeptical at first because of the lack of information out there. (I tried Mpeg 1080p files, MKV 1080p files, MP4 1080p files, RMVB, FLV, and of course AVI - Verdict - All plays 100% with no lag).

There are only a couple annoyances.
1) I have is the Window G91 does not have a remote control. I purchased this product on ****.com and it says it supports remote control which I know means it doesn't come with one. However, on the very same website, it would see, that Window G91 has a identical twin. On ****.com, type in "Pasen F91".
2) No up-scaling on regular videos - I put a couple Simpsons episodes on my Window G91 and noticed that it was tad grainy when it looked fine on my laptop and WD Media Player. Not really a complaint, more like an annoyance.

It is virtually the same product but comes with a remote. Oh well, hope this information was somewhat helpful.
