Damn, that was a hell of a day. Like you said though, I guess a good night's sleep is worth it.

Today I Skype'd with my parents and told them all about my trip and then wiped and reinstalled my 8.9" netbook with the Ubuntu Netbook Edition and my 15.4" laptop with the Ubuntu Desktop Edition. I know a lot of people hate Ubuntu, but it's hard to deny that they've made probably the most coherent feeling GNU/linux desktop.

Anyway, I'm in the process of getting all my applications installed and fiddling with it.

You like messing with the gizmos, eh Matt, lol? I wouldn't know the first thing about installing it. Have never installed anything like that before.

Installing a different OS is quick and easy, it's making it feel like home that's hard work!

Yeah, I'm sure all the apps take way longer to install.

I love the Linux Mint version of Ubuntu, use it at home exclusively, and keep windows on another partition for gaming.Well done and simple to install and use,it simply works :)

Most of it is "look and feel" related I'd say.
