I always have the camera tilted downwards. I get a lot of glare off the ceiling lights when filming in the office, but i found a sweet spot now where i don't get glare but the lighting is still quite bright, maybe you can find something similar where you are.

I'll do some experimentation, thanks for the tips. Be good to test out how the matte screen reacts to direct and ambient glare.

And the hype is building! So excited for the Rocktab. Looking around for some VNC clients to test out, there is a good variety. It'd be great if I could get some remote desktop action on the Rocktab 8)

Well there is a fun remote desktop app that we use for taking screenshots, but thats basically you controlling the Rocktab from your PC and not the reverse.

That'd be very useful for developing, with Android you really need to test on specific hardware. I'm guessing that's what the primary purpose of the app is. Be neat to play around with, I'll ask for the APK once I get a Rocktab in my hands  . I've got a huge heap APKs waiting to be tried out, hopefully there'll be a good amount that'll run fairly smoothly on the Rocktab.

you need a device running android 2.2 at least and as the midnite is being updated all the time you will need to get your hands dirty, plus installing apps on android is seriously easy, so dont worry about adding or updating, that is what the forums are for, we all have to start somewhere#

anyway, if you want flash this rocktab is not for you, the midnite is the one or any tablet running 2.2 android

Wow, thanks! I really appreciate it.

Got another question about Youtube, because in your review I didn't really see a search feature in the Youtube app, does it have one or did you just not show it? Also I'd like to know if the Youtube (mobile) website will work on Rocktab's browser.

Thanks

the youtube mobile site works fine on the vrowser included with android, i use it on my apad (same basic system as this) and it works fine, in fact it works better on the rocktab as the android implementation is better

Is this referring to the midnite?

I wanted a tablet I can use when I am playing video game, so that I can look up game guides and video. The rocktab obviously wont play youtube, so it's out of the question, but the trackball would be very useful for easy scrolling. If the midnite still cant play youtube, I'll have to use netbook then.

Its Monday finally. The Rocktab was originally meant to start shipping out today! Hopefully with the Chinese holiday over we'll start to hear more about the Rocktab and some lucky reviewers will get theirs soon. Here's hoping for an early ship date!

The Rocktab will play YouTube videos via the dedicated YouTube app. It won't play any videos embedded in webpages, though.
