i have now, but with last file (nk and apps) it says: timeout expired :S

this is whut i get:

If i press start, i get in the first port on the left: FDISK.. and a timer above it
then i get: NK DOWNLOAD, i c on the right the KB = 38KB and the KB/S is 12992KB/S

then after 23 seconds a popup appears and it says: Timeout expired.

If i press ok in that popup the timer goes red and in the port it says: NK ÏÂÔسö´í . I cant do anything anymore...(only if i restart the program) ive tryed it many times but is does not work.

EDIT

Ok it works now, but i had to discover the program (the update tool from ramos v80, not the one from m-touch (that one did not work for me)

You first have to do the steps Raz his guide said (the port config). you use the 2nd from left button to port config.. then it all works :)

If that timeout happens, just try it again, this happened to me also, i did it for a second time and it worked fine.

I will send my V80 back to get fixed tomorrow.
When Ramos will repair it, will they put english firmware??
If no, will you put english firmware on the player??

I really don't know if RAmos will put the new firmware or not, i can't gaurantee that i will put the new firmware either on your player, it will all depend on how much time i have when your player gets back.

Ok, so I'm really nervous to install this since I have a vista computer. My laptop is shot and that's all I have with xp.

Hmm, then again, my work computer still has xp. Still I'm nervous. Gotta work up the gumption to take that step.

Good luck to everyone who's going for it.

I might go ahead and try it tomorrow. I've got about an hour to kill at the office where I could give it a go.

Hope the hour is the only thing I kill (and not my v80)! :(

Thanks for the "encouragement", Scott! :)
