That part before the intro of a tv show

I'm ripping some dvd's and came across 1 episode witch has a small intro like part before the actual intro of the episode.
I know that all American tv shows have it. but I down't know what it's called.

???>intro>part1>part2>credits>preview of next episode

can somebody help me??

If it was up to me, I would call it the teaser. It might also be called the lead. Not sure what the actual term is.

If it tells what happened in the previous episode(s), I'm thinking "recap", which I think is short for recapitulate.

no its more like CSI, where they show the crime witch has bean committed before they actually start the episode

Well it does have on in my language(Dutch). But I cant remember

But its for an episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Its a directors cut episode, where that "pre-intro" part is some security footage. Its unrelated to the episode. But it is related to the main story line.
