I cant turn on my OS-72HR, how can I fix it?

-It doesnt turn on

-If I plug it in my computer, it shows a "cn2008 USB Boot Device" error and it doesn't show up as a USB, and it doesn't charge

-I tried it in Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Ubuntu, and nothing works.

EDIT: Used the burn tool recovery guide on Windows XP, the burning image just goes on and on and nothing shows up on the player..left it for like 1 hour, tested it like 10 times..nothing, and the drivers were installed successfully

HOW CAN I FIX IT? Please help!

It's all right here. Make sure to use XP for recovery. The firmware link on that page is for the early OS-72HR models, without OTG: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=15039

There never was another OS-72HR firmware released. But the Teclast M50HD is the same. Here's a link for the latest 5.5 version: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17994

The only difference is that the boot up and shutdown logo will say Teclast, instead of Nationite. Let me know if you have any problems.

It doesn't work: (im using xp)

I followed the guide and when using the CC1600 tool to burn the bin in to the player, the "burning" animation on the program is never ending, and nothing shows up on the player.

??? Help!

First of all, did you press the menu button, then plug into the USB port to get the Install Wizard to pop up, and get the drivers installed? That's the first critical step. No drivers installed=burn fail. If there are any folders in the firmware package you downloaded with Chinese characters, rename them something in English. That's probably the culprit. Look at the example here, for getting rid of the Chinese characters: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=17416 but still use the OS-72HR guide.

Usually when this happens, it's because one or more of the folders have Chinese characters. Even the burn tool itself. Rename anything with Chinese characters into something English.

Do you have an early OS-72HR that doesn't have OTG?
