I finally received my APad and surprise surprise! It rattles and you can feel and hear the insides moving around :(

The Apad does work for now but for how long before the rattling causes some serious damage?

Here is my experience:

1. Purchased the APad when it was advertising latest hardware, better build quality and custom firmware. Raz, I did place my order BEFORE you changed the main selling page so don't become defensive saying that you never advertised custom firmware for V3's BECAUSE YOU DID! You blatantly lied in another thread saying you did not :roll:

2. Supposed to have free gifts? A free stand and car charger? Some people received a wireless transmitter. Surprise surprise, I RECEIVED NOTHING! Yes, Nil, Nada, Nothing!!! Thanks a lot! A company that really cares :roll:

3. Special gift/offer because of inconvenience of no custom firmware and delays in order? You will receive this offer when you receive your APad. Guess what? AGAIN NOTHING! Yes, Nil, Nada, Nothing!!! Thanks AGAIN!!!

The packaging of the device was absolutely useless. The plain white box it came in with no markings, picture nor any type of attractiveness like MANY other sellers have, for example a picture on the front of the box of the device. This made it usless to re-sell or give to somebody as a gift because it looks cheap.

NO Bubble wrap to keep the device safe from being knocked around. This is a MUST for ANY and ALL companies selling and shipping electronic components.

I have ordered a number of these APad devices from numerous companies for friends and I ordered this from MP4Nation because it was the only 16gig device available at that time. MP4Nations packaging is by far the WORST of the lot and was the ONLY APad NOT wrapped in plastic bubble wrap to protect it during shipping.

This is NO surprise here that everybody is receiving defective devices because metal being knocked around during transit WILL cause damage to ANY device, be it an expensive Apple iPad or Cheap APad. So personally I would not blame it on these devices for poor workmanship but on the actual packaging and supplier themselves. Guys and girls, I've had numerous APads coming through me and again this was the only one with problems and I can say with confidence it's because of the poor packaging.

UNLESS MP4Nation can provide me with permission to open the device WITHOUT voiding my warranty to see if I can fix the moving innards or some sort of compensation or an absolute FULL refund including shipping costs for me to return the device to MP4Nation, I will be writing on every single Android site about my experience with MP4Nation, including re-seller and review sites warning absolutely everybody to stay away from this company. Copying and pasting my thoughts will take very little of my time but the loss of sales for this company will be long standing.

This is by far the absolute worst experience I've had ordering online with ANY company and believe me, I've ordered from many. I cannot believe the corners this company cuts to save costs and screw the customer which eventually leaves the customer with a loss. Absolutely disgusting!

To all the fanboy's on this forum, YOU WERE WRONG! I received a defective product after trying to be patient and I became yet ANOTHER statistic. You need to take a long deep look into your positive attitude towards this company and realize that they actually do not care about their customers UNLESS they can prove to me otherwise.

Lastly, Please understand my frustration. I tried to be patient but ended in total disappointment with a defective product in my hands.

I sincerely hope that MP4Nation can make this right :(

Again, i have no idea where you saw that we loaded V3 with custom firmware, but i never have, sorry that you think we did, but we never did. That product page was never changed once after i had updated it V3 info.

We have sent over 200 of these last V3 apads, unfortunately some still arrive with issues. The problem has nothing to do with how we pack it, as we send all our products the same way and they arrive fine. The issue is with the apad and how they are built. This was the case of V2, V3 etc, hence why we dropped selling these items.

As for free gift, if you did not get the fm transmitter there should be a pair Brainwavz Alpha.

If you want to open go ahead, but if you break the screen while opening it then THAT would invalidate the warranty.

Bubble wrap?? Are you nuts? Before giving advice,Roddy,check your facts,dude.I own several computer stores over 20 years,and I ship delicate components daily...clear bubble wrap is the worst stuff you can use,the static buildup will fry anything it touches.The non static bubble wrap(pink) is very expensive and rarely used anymore.Paper,on the other hand, is cheap,effective,and has been used by me,this site,and just about every major shipper of electronic components out there for years(packing peanuts are another one,but not very earth friendly,so many arent using them anymore,myself included :) ) .It simply works....just because you got a defective product,dont go dolling out bad advice just to nail a company,its not right.

I ordered on the 16th of August, you updated the info on the 20th of August and adjusted the "main Page". I am not the only person who was caught out by this fact. There's no use in trying to deny the fact. You are blatantly lying instead of just making a professional apology.

The Device came with the following:

1. APad
2. 2 x Usb cables
3. Power adapter
4. Headphones

Nothing more and nothing less BUT this was the actual items advertised without a gift. If The headphones are in actual fact the gift, then what happened to the original set because the current set should be "The Gift". You can easily see why I was mistaken there was no gift BUT again this confirms my statement about cutting your costs and making the customer suffer for that fact.

Not even an apology in your post about the fact my APad arrived faulty, instead call the customer a liar. Shame on you. Great business ethics???

dragon2knight, In what manner has the seller gone way and beyond in my case? Please explain?

I have not once received an email about product changes, delayed shipping, not having the specified gifts. Nothing, not one bit of communication. So how can I say good things about this company. I said over and over in my other posts that all I wanted, like so many others, was good service and a working product. I was even prepared to forgive the lack of service and communication if the APad was working.

If I had not in fact been on these forums, I would have no idea about the Firmware changes, gift changes, delays in shipping etc...You call that great service? You are totally clueless.

I will not not damage a company like this by giving them bad rep but I can certainly say that at least 10 people working with me will never purchase from this company. They will tell their friends and those friends will tell their friends and so on and so on. So I can confidently say that this company has gained bad rep and lost money due to shoddy business ethics. I have purchased 3 x G11 and 7 x G10 Android devices and received them all within a week from another company. They were ALL packed decently in bubble wrap and ALL of these devices are in perfect working order. So you're telling me a little bit of bubble wrap does not help protect the item? Oh please you're just looking for an excuse to flame me and defend MP4Nation. Why don't you grow some balls swallow your pride and admit that MP4Nation messed up this sale?

Anyway, I will not stoop to your level and call you a liar and insult you like you have done to me, so I will stop right here.

dragon2knight, I appreciate you editing your post and removing your insults towards me but even the slightest bit of extra protection in the packing "could" have prevented this from happening. There was absolutely no protection whatsoever and clearly if my device was checked before shipping they would have noticed the parts rattling around inside. The current status of my APad clearly happened during transit, however if the package was wrapped like this http://www.tabletsite.com/2010/08/gpad- ... -unboxing/ it would be another story completely, which I firmly believe. There is just no excuse for poor packaging, no matter how hard you try to defend the fact.

Your previous comments saying the seller has gone "way and beyond" which you have conveniently deleted, you have still not answered my question, which proves to me you can't backup your meaningless "fanboy" statements, otherwise you would have taken the time to explain how in fact this company has gone "way and beyond".

This will be my last comment back to you because you have absolutely no regard nor respect for MP4Nations customers and behave like a childish moderator on these forums even going to the point of stalking my previous threads...

You have no facts to backup anything you say and you contribute nothing to this particular situation so I have nothing more to say to you.

Knowing the likes of you, you always like to have the last word, so I'll expect some kind of meaningless garbage coming from you BUT I'm not going to bother responding to any more to your unhelpful posts. You obviously cannot handle critique, so you shouldn't really respond at all :)

I like the APad, It works well and the screen is much more snappy and receptive than my G10, so I'm going to attempt opening it up and repairing it together with the technicians at work.

I've simply voiced my concerns and my personal experience with MP4Nation and I believe others deserve to know. I've already said in other threads that if the experience was positive, I would have done the same and reported back positive things, but at this time I have nothing positive to report.
