That's an interesting review. I didn't even think of doing any FPS gaming on this. I'm still old school enough to like Doom and Quake.

Looking at all these threads about the MIDnite makes me a little depressed that I'm broke........

The Telechips TCC8902 (which is found in the Telly Belly ) has built in 3D Support (Mali 200 gpu), however, i'm thinking most of the telechips powered android devices and whatnot do not even properly implemented the 3D driver.

This is likely the case. Despite the increased "power" relative to the RK2808 chip, the Telechips barely outperforms it in browser speed tests and is not as snappy or responsive as expected.

In fact, there is another yet-to-be-announced RK2808 device sitting in this office that has very impressive smoothness, likely due to optimisation.

With the Telechips tablet, it looks like Android was kind of thrown on top of a PMP, and the performance and overall non-responsiveness might also point toward that conclusion.

Anyhow, surprise all around with the MIDnite hitting 18xx points... now I wonder what the Tegra 2 does? :!:

I've run GLBenchmark against the GenTouch 78 a TCC8902 Tab running @ 600Mhz.

Can you download the GLBenchmark for your Nationite MID and post the scores....you can see some of the preliminary scores at:

http://www.slatedroid.com/augen-gentouch78/6792-mali-graphics-2.html#post54985

At least until GLBenchmark.com process the full results and adds the Gentouch78 to their database.

Hello - I'll see if I can give it a go in the coming few days.

I think your results will be better than the Telly Belly, as the Telly Belly has an older and less developed version of Android that is running on these Telechips players.
