Typical  If the V9000HDA had been this price earlier I would have ordered one, instead of the V7000HDA (which I had to order from somewhere else) as this only works out a few pounds more now. The V7000HDA I've ordered is only 8GB as well

Good deal raz. One of these days, I'd kinda like to get a player with an SC9800 chipset.

TWP, now may be a good time. Honestly, I really love the sc9800. I use a Western Digital HD media player for my TV and this thing is more powerful than the WD HD's processor with better codec support. I have yet to have a playback issue. The only thing I wish the could implement is dVd menu support--but no portable players have that yet. Most set tops don't have this either---with the exception of the popcorn and lastest WD HD--both north of $150 for set top devices. I would say that the v9000hda for the special is pretty hard to beat. Fork over the money TWP and join the fun!

Well, I do have a little to spend, just don't want to be overly hasty. In my case, I like buying players with chipsets I don't have, to learn from them. I'm one that likes the ripping and converting process, so I'm quite satisfied with my CC1600 chipset based players. I figure about the time I buy one, a new chipset will come out, lol.

This is a good price for the V9000HDA 16GB. The next PMP I buy is going to be a 16GB model. I've moved from a 2GB to a 8GB this year. Ususally I just keep all of my music on the microSD card. But the UI on the SC9800s had gotten better w/ it's sorting issues and I moved all of my music to the main memory.

How about making separate threads similar to what you did right now.
