Ok, I found an Ainol V8000HDY being sold on EBAY (For a much higher price, so it's no competition for MP4Nation.net) that includes a remote control.

I found that page too. It was actually one of the most detailed sites on the V8000HDY and all of it's features I've seen anywhere on the net. I actually cut and pasted some of the info about the V8000HDY for future reference. I have a eBay bias due to past rip offs from unreputable sellers, but thanks for the tip.

The more I use this PMP, the happier I am. I use the PDF reader, video and music player on this every day since I got it in the mail. I might post something later, but I really think this 7" screen w/ 1024x600 resolution is the perfect balance point between portablity like the 4.3" PMP I'm used to and the larger views of the 8.9" and 10" PMP that are too big for me to carry around easily on the bus and train. This size just fits in my shirt pocket at 4 and a half inches wide. I don't know if this particular size and resolution combination is going to be popular, everything seems to be 800x480. I hope Ainol continues to offer 7" PMPs w/ 1024x600 resolution in the future. I look forward to the next chipset and UI.

I have the 6" V8000HDW, which I loved initially and gave a positive review. In term of long term use, however, the screen is really letting me down. It had developed spots where it appears there may be some LC leakage. I also have a couple of stuck pixels from day one that have never become unstuck. The processor and battery performance are remarkable though--I wish I could say the same for the screen itself. I have been toying with getting a v6000HDT with the hope that I could get the same performance with a quality screen (albeit a smaller screen).

I received my v8000HDY but it didn't come with a remote. I guessed I was one of the first orders without one. Having seen Raz's video review on the V6000HDT, I'm now itching to order the V6000HDT.

Yeah I'm really tempted by a friends V6000HDT - I was quite dissapointed with the V8000HDY screen.

BUT I still havent found a reason for this colour tint issue he seems to be having with it. Also there is quite a difference between a 4.8 inch screen and the 7 inch.

The V6000HDT & V9000HDA are two players with the nicest screens, checkout the V6000HDT video to see how the two compare next to each other.

The size of the V6000HDT is the largest you can consider pocket-able.

4.8 is pushing it. My 4.3's are barely pocketable.

That's what I thought before I bought this V8000HDY. I'm used to a 4.3" PMP. You can even find 4.3" cases w/ belt clips so you can wear it like a Blackberry. But I slip this into my shirt pocket while I'm riding on the bus and train every day to work. This is as big as you can get and still be portable as a commuter. It's heavy, so you do have to be careful. When I decided to order this instead of the V6000HDT, I planned to carry it around in a bookbag like a netbook. This is working great for me for daily use, but I'm not sure if very many people would do the same.

It might be interesting to see if 7" PMPs continue to get some interest from consumers. I think regular users will either look at a smaller 5" size or skip over this to the larger 8.9" or 10" size. All of the features included in this V8000HDY is what made it my final choice, but I'm not sure if this will catch on.

Actually for me the V6000HDT is very pocketable.
I used to carry a psp with me everyday until I sold it to buy my V6000HDT.
Lengthwise the v6000hdt is smaller than the psp so like i said very pocketable.
but it seems to me that everybody else it's too big.
So i guess its preference thing then.

What about the reviews which mention the V8000HDY reflectiveness? Would it be a problem watching it on a train or a buss?
