What are some cool movie download sites ?

I did read the full text but it was last week and I was tired. If you have time and can sum up the important points I'd appreciate it, as I was under the impression that the act of decriminalising the breaking of the encryption gave people a fair amount of wiggle room for backing up personal collections.

The important thing is that "Noncommercial videos" isn't broad language, it's a subset to to the making new works part. And more ironclad language comes up later:

Well for my music I use mp3fiesta.com which is very cheap and has a large range of tracks, they also have a site that sells films very cheaply in a variety of formats; filmous.com It seems to have allot of films including ones that are still in the cinema... :S I'm not entirely sure how legal it is though :/ since most films are around $1-2 each To buy films you pay first and have a balance on your account rather than paying each time you download.

IMP, the best site is graboid.com. It has pretty much everything on there--movies and tv in a choice of either standard or hi-def. They have various bandwidth based plans.

I use 7digital for my legit music and bitsnoop for everything else - paying for illegal movies is stupid imo.

sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I'm looking for a movie in the 1280x720 size to play on my V8000HDY. I normally rip my regular DVDs onto my computer using DVD Shrink and covert to a AVI file using Handbrake. That gives me files are aroung 720x370 size and they play OK, I just stretch it to fit the 7" screen. But I wanted to play something closer to the Astro Boy trailer that came with my V8000HDY.

Is there a different software I should use or is there a site where I can legally download 1280x720 movies?

Sorry if I sound like a noob. I know some stuff about computers & electronics, but other things I've never even heard of. Also a lot of what I remember is from a decade or two ago.....

DVDs are only in standard def, you have to rip from bluray to get 720p. Most vodo films have a 720p download available, and it's worth repeating that it would be headline news if hollywood films became available in a DRM-free format, legally.
