I think with a lot of the older ones your not going to be able to find out. I thought I would try and help find some for you, so I looked for the Benss BX-97 and the Bmorn BM-666. I could tell you pretty much everything else about them EXCEPT what chip they use. I can tell you that these two are basically the same player buy the looks of it though

Yeah, the Bmorn and Benss players are the same. They are the hardest ones to find. I'll find them eventually, haven't really looked for awhile, but I do keep it updated with the later releases.

I appreciate that. I was hoping this would be an MP4Nation community project, but, for the most part, it's been The Warrior Poet's project, lol. It's all good though, I don't mind. This was a monumental effort, believe me. It took a long time to find some of those. Some, like the Ainol range, were easy to find. I have actually found many of the older ones. Sifting through Chinese forums and product pages mostly. I always hate when it's listed as having a RKXXXX chipset. Of course, you know it's RockChip, but which one? Some will say RK27XX.

To be honest I don't think a lot of people even know about this thread. I've been using this forum for a while now, and I'd never come across it until you posted the link. Maybe if you could get Raz to sticky it more people would come across it and you may get some more help maintaining it then.

Yeh I tried trawling through some Chinese forums in an effort to find the two I mentioned above, but still nothing.

A few people have asked raz to sticky this, but he hasn't. I find this especially useful when someone is experiencing difficulties when upgrading, etc. I can't remember all those chipsets, obviously, so I look it up here, then direct them to the appropriate guide. Comes in handy.

I kept the listing to the more "popular" players. There's other brands I don't have as well. But, if you want to find all the SmartQ players and their chipsets, I'll be more than happy to post them here.
