Wow, damn! After reading these reviews I should have picked up a pair instead of my Beats By Dre. =/

Beats By Dre is regarded one of the worse valued phones on Head-fi.

Beats are seriously overpriced for the features....and they're built fairly poorly. My brother has had two pairs already(he likes the looks,so do alot of people....),but he say the quality needs improvement, as he has destroyed both pairs in record time.He dosent recommend them if you are even a little rough on your headphones.

I've actually read a little about them. Very overrated, it seems.

I can provide a comparison to the TF10.

Lows (Bass) - Both have about the same bass quantity, but the TF10's is much more layered and detailed. I also think it extends a tad lower.

Mids (Vocals) - This is the only category where I prefer the M2, because the TF10's mids sound recessed, with singers placed farther behind the instruments. As a result, the vocals seem to lose their detail on the TF10. The M2 mids are forward and very warm, rich. Not terribly detailed, but just enough to sound pleasant.

Highs (Treble) - This one's no contest as the TF10 wins by knockout. The treble is much more well extended and detailed. The only way the M2 competes is if someone finds treble oriented sound too fatiguing.

Soundstage - The TF10's are more spacious and have fantastic placement. You can virtually place all your instruments relative to the room you're listening. The M2's are no slouches, but the TF10 definitely win this category.

Keep in mind that in the one time clearance sale - the TF10's sold for almost twice the price of the M2's. That said, if someone considers recessed mids a deal breaker - they may yet prefer the M2's.
