The reason I chose the Apad was because of the size of it. Years ago I bought a laptop so I could take it around with me on holidays. But it's so big and clunky that it's just too heavy to lug around and takes up too much weight with the new cheapskate airlines that only allow a limited amount of luggage.
I've had the same issue, i need a device that can check emails when i am on holiday or when i am on the bus going into Shenzhen, i found laptops to be too bulky so i had been using my Chuwi W3000, it had a small screen, but the screen was really good quality.
I then got the Nexus One smartphone, so i stopped using the W3000, but using it to check lot of emails and replying to them, the nexus one was just too small. I then turned back to using a netbook, although smaller than a laptop i still found it bulky for my trips to China, but its fine for when i go on holidays.
I've now been contemplating taking the apad with me to China, i would need to get a 3g dongle so that i could use it on the bus trip up to the border. It would be nicer to check my emails and surf the forums while i am idling on the bus journey on the apad rather than using my nexus one.
