Well, apparently one of the music files was corrupt. Can you try plugging your player into another PC? I'm not sure if the V9000HDG has a reset or not.

Any suggestions for a SC9800 player that is stuck in a reboot loop? I turned mine on one day (Cube H900HD), and it just sat at the boot logo for a bit, then rebooted, went to boot logo, rebooted, over and over. I can't really do much troubleshooting with USB since it reboots after about 45 seconds, even when plugged in.

Sorry, been on vacation, and just noticed this. Any luck figuring anything out yet?

Hello to all folks out there. Actually my V8000HDW got stuck in a reboot loop. It would show the white ainol boot again... and 30 seconds later go black... and then show the white ainol boot screen again. When plugging into the usb my PC did not see it at all. BAD NEWS.

Fortunately this thread saved the day. The Steps taken were to load the update software and load the firmware image. Try to update (and then get the can't find hardware message box). Turn off the player... hold down Esc (count to 3)... hold down power (count to 3)... press power quickly 3 times... let go of esc... and plug into the USB cable.

Since my player was foobar'd I decided to do a full erase when it asked... and just re-upped the firmware. Worked like a charm! Thanks to the poet for this very helpful and PMP saving thread.

Glad it worked out Suppin! Always nice to see people get their players going again.

I think I bricked my player.
I connected it to my computer.
Didn't turn on or nothing.
Power button, charger, cable, nothing turns the player on anymore.
Can't find a recovery guide here for the player, however I found this guide.
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... Nf6q98kJsg

I don't think the guide is working for me because I'm running windows 7.
I got another computer it's running windows 7 too but I got an xp disc and am going to install it there.
Will try it it there before I start worrying but if anybody else has any advice please don't hold back.

Cart, I have had that happen with my v8000. If you were not in the process of flashing the drive... I would suggest that you hold the power button down and then plug in the USB. That unstuck the device for me an got it to go into the boot screen. If that doesn't fix it, it should at least allow your Windows XP based computer to read the device. Once you have that, reflash the FW and it should come back to life.

I would recommend the above recommendation but one other solution is to just leave it for a day, if the player is frozen then the battery will drain and power off. Recharge and try it again.

I merged the posts here cartelps. This is the guide you need. Look under the If player appears dead section. You need to use XP.
