I think never, there was a guy on this forum section that saved different versions on his blogsite.
If you search true this section you can find it.

But I thought I never heard someone succeed with that version that should correspond with the later produced 300's.

Quote:
When I update the 980, it first has to be switched off.

Then I press the volume+ key as it says.

While holding that down, I connect the player to the computer. At this time you can let it go.

Windows does recognise it, but not as a removable storage device. It doesn't show up in My Computer but it does show up near the clock in
the task bar. There's an option to remove the hardware there but there's no drive letter or anything.

Now you just need to use the FRM software program.

When that's done, you can unplug the device, then reset it as the 'power on' LED will still be on. After that, you can turn it on normally.

Unfortunately, the latest update files for the 980 on the JXD download page seem to be broken.

Hi all,

I tried the method stated above in the quote to upgrade the formware of my JXD300 but i m not able to bring it to the upgrade mode. I have tried all the combination of the keys but in vain.

Anyone who can help on this please.

Thanks and regards
Shahid

You need to press the triangle or X key and hold it, I'm not shure which one it was.
Look here: http://www.modelautoforum.nl/viewtopic. ... 52#p366252 in the manuals last chapter, from the first forum post.

No, that's the whole problem. Many people that bought the 300 after it was out already for a while, received the B series.
They tried updating and download the firmware of the JXD site, which resulted in many "broken" and shipped back to the seller, players.

hey Mr Djm i think i have a solution .

i earlier had a jxd 661 and my friend had a jxd 683 or jxd 692 (i dont remember which one my friend had)

and now i have jxd 300b . These 3 have the same way of displaying the files and same support for games and movies etc.

Is this helpful?
