Anyone seeing this one? It looks better then the Ainol P810. witch is 8" 800x480
So smaller screen higher resolution = sharper image

For the rest its the same as the others. (same chipset)

any ideas if this is gonna be available on Mp4 nation??

I would love to see a review on the image quality on this player if any of you happen to have or get one. I have the V8000HDW (6'' 800x480). It has the typical "big screen" viewing issues. It looks like ainol is making strides to resolve these problems with players like the V6000hdt and, supposedly, the V8000HDT. I am wondering if the rumors are true. :)

I'd rather have a higher resolution 7" screen on this V8000HDY than the lower resolution 8" screen on the P810. However they both look good on paper. It comes down to a trade off on size vs resolution. I wonder how bad the viewing angles are on this V8000HDY.

I admit it is kind of funny how companies like Ainol keep releasing multiple players, but I like the variety. Here in the US the market is pretty much limited to Ipods and Sansas. I've gotten to the point where I don't even bother looking for any new MP4 players here and check the sites here on MP4Nation on a regular basis. I was in Best Buy around Christmas and I swear they had the same units from two years ago.

It's interesting that Ainol would produce the HDY on the heels of the P810, since they would appear to compete with one another. I am really curious to hear a review on this player. I think on any screen 6'' or higher, 1024x600 resolution would make for a noticeable improvement over 800x480. That said, higher resolution is certainly not everything when it comes to viewing enjoyment and image quality. It looks like the big advantage of the P810 over the HDY (aside from an extra inchin diagnol screen space) is that the P810 accepts a full sized SD Card (you can find a 32gb for the same price as a 16gb micro sd), it has a full sized usb plug, which is preferable to using an OTG cable. If they dropped a 1024x600 (maybe even a decent LTPS) screen in the P810 player with the rest of these features---wow, that be a game changer. Alas, Ainol (and its competitors for that matter) never make the choice that simple.

I also prefer to use SD cards. I can always find the larger sizes for a cheaper price than a microSD card. Also w/ a SD card slot on a device, you can always use a converter for miniSD and microSD cards, so it ends up being more flexible. But I understand that microSD cards are the norm.

I don't think the device will read and micro sd in a converter.
