I wonder how where is mr gordgelin again? It has been a while since the last time he visited here. I hope he is alright.

@tony_jaan5:
Sorry I'm failed to read your post before. Yes that is my theme. It's just an experiment to alter the original theme and firmware though. Not that I'm intend to release it.

To make theme though, you just need to:
1. dump your firmware. make a backup too.
2. extract your firmware into folder using sUNpack.
3. check your 'resource' folder.
4. in the 'resource' folder, go into 'home>icon'.
5. you will see that many pictures. that is your main menu theme.
6. make picture using photoshop or similar program and save it as PNG.
7. to make it usable for the theme, you need to change it into 16-bit BMP format.
8. download free trial software, such as AHA View that provide picture conversion into 16-bit BMP without degrading picture quality as much.
9. using sUNpack, replace the original picture in the 'resource>home>icon' folder with the new picture.
10. after you replace it, the firmware is automatically saved. no 'save' button is needed.
11. using FRM Pro 3.3, flash your new firmware to your spmp8000.

this is quick and rough guide. so if you have anymore question, I'm willing to help as long as I could do it.

Also, the conversion technique into 16bit BMP is a bit crude. If anyone know how to do it better in the photoshop, please do share it with us. I tried to do it in the photoshop, but the picture quality turn out horrible.

you can use the print button sUNpack sunpack you use photoshop and then saved as 32bit bmp files then immediately replaced by the Windows Explorer rename
then you use the card FRM advance of packing it Pro 3.3
then you have a FW card for your machine up as usual

I don't think that's will work and I think I've tried that. You will get error when using sUNpack replace. Though I'm not really understand what you're saying...

When I try to download this I get a "You are not authorised to view, download or link from/to this site." error. Can someone either tell me how to fix this or upload it elsewhere? Thank you.

jiraiya, can you please upload a mirror for frmorp? openscheme is down and i can't find any download links for it. :(

*EDIT:

i got the file somewhere but i could not install LIBUSB, I keep getting the follow error:

"The specified location does not contain information about your hardware"

also, there's no way to enter the upgrade mode, i tried holding down the buttons(with the machine off) and then plug the usb, but they all boots into the home screen as normal.

Any help would be great.

First getting into the firmware upgrade mode:
- make sure the on/off switch is position at OFF.
- hold your magic button (whether the circle, square, up, triangle or whatever it is).
- while holding the button, plugin in the USB to PC.
- if your device still getting into the OS, then the upgrade mode is not entered.
- if that's happen try holding many button at once and try again.

btw, what is your spmp8000 devices? any brand or model?
