right, i have updated my UPDATE guide now with a link to a different firmware file, if you want to save messing just download the new linked file in the guide, its a version with my theme on anyway which is a little easier on the eyes anyway (big-head

UPDATE
Your Pure and Simple alternative worked like a charm. Nice, I like it. And now adding music to the player. Only thing, it did require a reformat after the 2.2 upgrade, but no matter, it's working again and up to date!

hey i remember you used to have a lot of priase for the meizu m6 and all of its various revamps etc, how does this compare in your opinion.

the M6 is still the best player i own, still used, best battery, sexiest design, dockable, slick, usable - still has not been beaten for me - its got its quirks, it aint perfect, if meizu had stayed with mp3/4 then i am sure it could have all been sorted - still my everyday player, has been for 3 years or so (had 2 versions now)

mmm i thought you might say that...i cant seem to find them anywhere...how about audio qual wise? surely this is better there...

audio quality is present in both th e M6 and the sflo2, my preference is the M6 as it just has a better personality for me, the sflo2 is very clean and raw

for eg, when i first got the sflo2 i did a blind test with 2 mates, one has a great ear for sound the other, deaf as a post

, played same song on both players, hid them under table and let them listen, whilst i swapped between the 2, back and forth - both preferred the M6, their comments were that the sflo2 sounded "tinny" compared to the full, evolved sound and personality of the M6, they liked the sflo2 and one, with good sound appreciation, appreciated where is was coming from and the clean sound it produced, but they did say, and i somewhat agree, that in doing this it stripped out some life of the music - again, its all very personal

i always fall back to the M6, no player has beaten it, not the sflo 2 or the samsung P3 or any of the other players i have owned - M6 is all round excellence for me and ticks most of the boxes

meizu is dead on the m6 now, you may find a few but production is stopped - they exited the race, apparently they were producing a faint trickle for a while but i am sure its stopped now

man that sucks, i can find them on ebay but wayy over priced, probs cos its become quite rare to get a new one. one more thing (a bit unrelated), do you know any way that I can get something from america shipped to england even if they dont them selves do so. cos basically i was gonna get something (best not say what cos i dont wanna promote anything thats not sold here) but the thing is that they go for $100 or £107, doesnt make sense to get them...if not i guess ill have to wait for someone i know to go to the usa lol

not really, if its electronics then they generally dont sell outside the US and if you find a store that does then they will add mountains of shipping, plus, if buying from the US you have a much bigger chance for customs to grab it, especially if it looks like a shop purchase, i have bought twice from US both times customs grabbed them, i have looked at this several times, each time, with all the extra costs it ends up about the same price as the UK, more or less. Only poss way is to try and find someone in the US to buy and send, but again, beware of customs
