The Nationite OS-72HR is a rebranded Teclast M50HD.

so if i buy one from mp4nation can someone confirm the following please:

1. does the 16gb version OS-72HR have the latest/best firmware installed?
2. is it brand new and factory sealed?
3. is it actually in stock?
4. does it ship from the usa? (i'm in the u.k.)

i would normally buy from a u.k. site but they only have the 4gb version and i really want the 16gb.

yes, ebuyer rebrand their F&H stuff from teclast, same player -mp4nation is hong kong, i am UK too and no, you will not get taxed in anyway and yes, it will have latest firmware but - just before you buy, what are you want going to do with this player, its good, well built and great screen but as tech its a little outdated

i'm looking for a reliable player with built in speaker, good screen and the ability to play a good amount of different formats (avi, divx, realmovie etc). the os72hr seems ideal.
i dont really need touch screen or mp3 player or built in camera.

is the os72hr an old product or still fairly current/new?
please explain in which ways is it outdated or heading towards being outdated?

well its format support and the cc1600 chip that powers it is a little old now, its only good gt AVI (xvid/divx), some flv and some rmvb, more recent player use more power efficient chips with faster and cleaner interfaces, the 72 can be a little slow to navigate around, newer chips on newer players just cover more ground and many more formats,

dont get me wrong, if all you need is AVI playback then its a good beast, solid performer with stability , seriously well built, great screen and $99 for the 16GB is a good deal (better the the F&H price), its just slow clunky and limited compared, even though it only around a year old it is using last generation chips, the market in China moves seriously fast

also, how is the framerate on the os72hr?
thanks again

i convert from DVD and source rate (24fps) and its fine, no problems at all, its a good video player and can play full frame vids smoothly with great color
there are many players that can play more formats, dozens of formats, the 72 is restricted to just AVI with the xvid or divx coded (not divx files!!), some RMVB and some flv, newer player can play all sorts from MKV, 3gp, vob etc etc etc

not only more formats but also more bitrates and different settings which is more important

if video is your main thing, i would seriously consider a player based on sochip chipset, it's the best for video at the moment

ok, new question then.. is there a decent player with the sochip chipset, a built in speaker, around 4 inch screen for around 100 bucks? i can't really spend too much money at the moment so may have to stick with the os72hr
