So what we want to know is... comparing the Brainwavz M1 & M2 we've heard how they sound individually. Now we want to know how they sound contrastingly. What does the M2 do better... how about the M1?

This I would like to know aswell, I'm planning to preorder either the M1 or the M2s soon....
I just want something more clarity and fun sounding than my current best IEMs, the cx-400s. How do these compare to Sennheiser cx-400s? how about the older CX-55s?

I have the M2's and the CX500. I've heard in the past that the CX500 are the same as the CX400 with a volume control - but I've never seen that confirmed by Sennheiser. I have to believe they sound very similar if not identical - the CX500 were the flagship of the CX line.

I can tell you that in the bass and mids, the M2's beat the crap out of my CX500's. In the treble frequency range, it's close - and the CX500 might have a narrow victory there on the basis of a little more extension. But I have to say overall that the M2's are a good level above the CX500 due to more, tighter bass - warm mids, and a quality soundstage. Build quality is also much better.

I keep thinking that the M2's would be the ideal upgrade for someone with CX300's because they have practically the same sound signature - but tighter bass and a quality midrange.

The M2 have a stronger bass, the M1 are somewhat more balanced, wider soundstage and sound better for vocals and acoustics. The wider soundstage does make for more detail to be heard too.

The two have different sounds, the M2 having the overall better quality sound, but the M1 itself has very good sound quality to begin with and will probably cater to those more interested in making out more detail aswell as having the vocals in their music better represented.

Are the M1 maybe more midcentric like PL50?

Would you say that they are recessed in lows and highs when compared to M2?

We are waiting for some review before preordering...

I would say the mids and highs are more forward, the bass is much less on this compared to the M2.

More reviews to pop up soon.

When the ticket is replied you will get an email notifying you.

So are the M1 better than the beta brainwavs pro? Will you stop production of the beta in favor of the M1?
I have ordered the M2 and also bought a 16gb sflo2 + Beta Brainwavs bundle (which is being replaced by M1 you mentioned) so I will have both the M1 and M2 to play with, I feel happy :P

The M1 are better, but that's my opinon, some may prefer the more analytical style of the Betas, but i do think that in general, people will prefer the M1 sound.

The Betas aren't going to be discontinued, they will be back in about another month, i am also having their packaging redesigned, so that may add a little extra time to the new production.
