Ainol V6000HDT :: review from imp3

Nice review- ordered the V6000HDT today, but alas only stock available was in white! Anyhow it is for a girl, so white should be okay.

Does anyone know if Ainol will release firmware to support at least PDF format for reading? TXT eBook downloads are very few. I was tossing up with Onda VX560 but found out VX560 is not touchscreen, although it supports PDF and PDB ebook formats.

So can someone tell me how often Ainol release firmware upgrades and where would I get it when it is available? - I guess it will be in a Chinese forum, but I can only read English. Does anyone on MP4 Nation have a sticky with links to firmware updates for Ainol? (probably if you can read Chinese you will be okay)

What's the "F16" chip on the Ainol table at http://www.ainol.com/plugin.php?identif ... o&pageid=3 ?

I thought all new ones use SC9800

I'd like a PDF reader for my V8000HDW, since Cube released one for the H900HD powered with the same chip (SC9800).

With V6000 we had 2 or 3 releases and it was around 6 weeks between them, you don't need an english page to get the firmware, just go to the download page, check the release date and click the download button for your device. You have to use a chinese software (in chinese) to upgrade the firmware.
