I tried that one and it didn't work, but I did try to rollback to the 2.0 version firmware and the flac that previously worked wouldn't work. I'll try some other things to see if I could get it to work.

it could be that your memory is corrupt, happend to me, i did a full format (NOT quick) and updated the firmware again and copied all my files and after that everything was OK

yep, chim0 is right, after updating the firmware from 2.10 its essential that you need to format the memory before using, also be the same from downgrading - did you use the guide i did to do the update --> viewtopic.php?f=43&t=17834

I tried formatting the drive many times and I have also changed my firmware to different versions, but my player is not reading flac as a music file, the file is there when I open the file manager, but it's not reading it as a music file.

mmm .. ill have to try mine, not used any FLAC since i updated, even so, if you are back on 2.0 and still cant see it then its all a bit ODD .. is this through the file manager or via the tag database, what happens if u got to file explorer, nav to the file and select from there

right, FLAC is fine and dandy on my sflo2 with 2.10 firmware
when you updated did you format immediately?? after the update, or did you just copy files on straight off ... as it appeared to be fine when you clicked on the drive after the player reconnected??

I did not try this version, because I thought it was the same as the inofficial 2.1.

There is might another solution for the problem. I found this inofficial firmware version V2.1.1. : http://www.mediafire.com/?vmuwdmqg1zv

Try it out, it might fix the problem.
