MP4Nation have just received Ainol V9000HDG and V9000HDA stock, and what more logical than to follow up with a review. Raz has already video reviewed the V9000HDA here, and now I give you a writeup review of the Ainol V9000HDG, the 5-inch brother of the 4.3-inch HDA. Well, let’s not dawdle around here considering what’s to come. Moving swiftly onwards.

Let’s start with some basic specifications of this player, the Ainol V9000HDG, shall we?

Second time folks, hope you can gleam some useful information out of it. Picture heavy, for those concerned. Less suggestive title, though not sure that's a good thing.

I've tested them on v8000hdv, they play fine, should be same on v9000hdg. I'm impressed tbh, my pc can't play those :)

Tried this one on the HDW with component output (I have no HDMI cable yet), on a 1080p projector, player set on 1080p60. The image quality was good, not as good as blu-ray and I guess component soften the image a little, but better than what I expected.

I tested first and third file from your links on V9000HDA. They both played smooth. I was able to choose English subtitle on avatar sample. Also I tested another sample with this file settings:
Format: HD TV
Resolution: 1080P
Video/Audio codec: AVC High@L4.1 48,0 KHz, 6 channels AC-3
Mbps: 8.0
file size: 130Mb
No problems in video playback

thanks for testing those nmark, i would like to see a comparision done between the Telechips, and amlogic on these files also, maybe we can have a "play off" to see which can play back the most demanding file, i have a feeling sochip may win this one

To also be more directed, the screen itself is pretty fantastic. Colours look vibrant, yet realistic. Viewing angles are, quite simply, remarkable. You can view this thing from a variety of angles, most of which uncomfortable to look at with anyways, and you can still see clearly what’s going on

Are you saying this is a 5" player with strong viewing angles from all directions. Including above and below ? It does not have the sudden darkening when viewed from below that most existing 5" players have? That is a pretty big deal if true.

Have you got some pics of this?
