I just reveived my vx585. Everything is working fine except Windows XP is not able to recognize usb drivers. I tried to install the latest vx575 usb drivers ( ftp://ftp.onda.cn/download/driver/oamp3 ... uit101.rar ) and my Windows XP SP3 refuse to install them. My computer is not able to mount vx585 usb drives properly.

Is someone was able to install properly those drivers. For now, the only way to transfer files to my player is with a microSD card.

Thanks

Weird, with XP it should be all fine. But why do you even wanna install?
If you put it onto the cable and onto the pc, Xp should install the device automaticly.

That what I did the first time and Windows was not able to run properly. I checked in the event viewer and I found this message "The device, \ Device \ Harddisk5 \ D has a bad block."

USB drive are mounted but not accessible. Maybe I have a bad cable ?

I think I would be contacting the seller. Could be a bad USB cable, but this is rare. XP should have automatically detected the device.

Here is a follow up, I did many tests and I found that my VX585 is recognized successfully in safe mode with Windows XP SP3 which is not a great solution. Strangely, my player is recognized by Windows XP SP2...!

sounds like corrupt USB drivers, try to remove your USB ports and remove any hidden USB devices reffering to the vx585 and reinstall it again, might work

I found the problem, that was related to the Sandisk U3 launchpad ( http://u3.sandisk.com/download/lp_installer.asp ) that comes with Sandisk USB key. The process launchU3.exe cause the problem. As soon as stopped this process, the ONDA VX585 was recognized successfully :)
