I also think you should replace the component. I'm not really know about this tiny component solder. Maybe mr openschemes should look at this. I don't know if he is around nowadays.

btw, refer to that picture, mine also got damaged but the unit still alive and well up until today. It was place next to battery so I didn't notice it at first sight. When you try removing the battery from the adhesive tape, sometimes it got brushed. If you're lucky maybe you can get away with it. Anyways, anyone who plan to remove it, beware of this. And this is for the blue PCB board. I don't know about the green PCB board version.

No. I'm sorry if I didn't mention this before. But this thread that I request for firmware is for PSPKOX which is not the psp knock off from JXD. The one in this articles (http://www.openschemes.com/modules/word ... -teardown/).

Jiraiya78, I have the same player as yours(and MaleAxx). My player's Analog Joystick is Not working properly (drifts automatically to up direction while playing games and on menu screen, works like <right-left> when i move it to right). I have tried changing the joystick and have uploaded many firmwares, but the problem remains the same. I haven't got a perfectly working firmware for my player even after long search. Can you please upload your working firmware (soft.img) and Boot file. If possible plz also upload boot file and firmware MaleAxx gave you.
Hope you'll help.
Thanks in advance....

Try firmware at this place first.

I use bootfile v33. And for 8000_MMI.RAP, try this one. It's from my original firmware.

Hi Jiraiya78,
These are pics of my PSPKOX

http://pspkox.wikia.com/wiki/File:Vishu_techno_2.jpg
http://pspkox.wikia.com/wiki/File:Vishu_techno_3.jpg

and I'm tired of trying various combinations of images and boot files but no combination is working perfectly( analog joystick still not working) for me. I've tried firmwares in Firmware Download section. Can you please upload your Firmware image( or the firmware MaleAxx gave you), and boot file. And does Frm version make any difference? I've used Frm Versions 2, 2.1, 3.2, 3.3. And does your player plays swf games also???

waiting for your reply..

Regards
