First sorry for my poor English and I'm from mainland.

RK2808 is based on an ARM9 600MHz processor.

Web browsing and PDF viewing are not so fast as my Acer Liquid A1, which has Snapdragon 768MHz based on cortex-A8, but still faster than my SmartQ Q5 mid, which is S3C6410 ARM11 666MHz.

I feel the speed is quite usable. Loading page is slower than cortex-A8, but after the page is loaded, dragging is smooth. Unless the page contains many images in one screen, it will lag when I drag over these images. In this situation, even my Cortex-A8 gets a slightly lag.

In fact ARM9 is not slower than ARM11 at the same frequency. ARM9 has a 5-stage pipeline while ARM11 has a 8-stage pipeline. Longer pipeline is good for higer frequency, but performance per clock decreases. Just compare Intel P4 Northwood and Prescott.

About RAM:
W7 has 128MB DDR400 SDRAM.

a little bit small but still usable.
Total memory showed in system is about 126MB, after startup I get 30-40MB availble. After using task killer I get 60MB available. Android has a good memory management, so don't worry about it.
IM and Web browsing at the same time is OK.

In fact, those Android phones equipped with 256MB RAM as my Liquid A1 do not leave so much memory for the system. Total memory showed in my A1 is about 148MB, for bandband processor in Snapdragon needs 64MB RAM and GPU framebuffer needs another 32MB. So 256-64-32=160, finally leave 148MB for Android. My Liquid A1 gets 40MB available after startup and ~70MB available after freeing memory.

Moreover, W7 doesn't need phone and SMS process running in backgroud, leaves more RAM to users.

emmm... I still think there will be a 256MB edtion, maybe on a RK2808 based mobile phone, since RK2808 support mobile DDR, which provides up to 512MB in one chip.
W7 uses 2*64MB TSOPII package DDRSDRAM, maxium density of TSOPII-packaged DDR is 64MB.

Emmm, the all-glass capacitive touch panel of W7 is cool and smooth~
I don't want to go back to resistive touchscreen on my Q5 anymore...

Finally show my devices

Sweeet! Many thanks for the information Hinagiku, and welcome to the forum. The web browsing on the W7 does look quite usable, similar in speed I would say to my HTC hero actually.

I had a question.....Can you download apps from the android market on the W7?
