Hi there. My ainol 6000hdv bricked because of my stupidity.I tried to upgrade the firmware in windows 7 even though it couldnt be done , when the loading the usb driver stage came I realised my mistake but made a bigger one just pulled it off the usb cable. Now it wont open anymore.

I tried it in windows xp , I can load the usb driver for it and it succesfully recognized as :
usb device(vid_1f3a_pid_efe 8)

But other than this nothing na-da....
Livesuit says : No device that need to be updated.
Also it gives error : initial 1003 --- when I plugin the usb cable to the pc.Couldnt find anything about this error anywhere in the internet ...

I also tried phoenix tools from the imp3 forum and it wont do anything at all ... Only this ;
When I run the tool make necessary adjusments , press start ; I plug the cable in the pc it wont say anything sometimes pnp.... and stays that way.But when I plug the cable out it gives an error in the side pane.

Anyone got any idea about this ? What can I do ? From what I understand in several posts there is button combination that puts the device in firmware mode, but I couldnt understand it from the chinese forum posts. Please help me.

Isn't this player a sochip sc8600? Here's a guide I made. For the Onda VX575, but the same process: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=15674

There's a troubleshooting guide of what to do if you unplug from the USB port.

Warrior I followed your guide first , I did everything you told there , I can do every step from memory actually now :) My problem is even though my pc recognizes the driver properly unlike other people, the livesuit wont jump into update mode whatever I do.

Did you try the troubleshooting guide I made, for if you unplug from the USB while upgrading? Here's some more links for you. They're translated, so not the clearest:

i read some stuff on the vx575HD (same player basicaly)

one trick (though translation was bad) was to load up livesuit and load up firmware then connect the player by pressing VOL- and connecting player to usb (keeping vol pressed down)

now at this point it was a little unclear but it basically said that pressing and holding the PLAY/PAUSE button was needed - so just maybe try a few combination

try connecting holding VOL- and while still pressing VOL- press and hold play pause
or
connact as above but this time try repeatedly press the play/pause until live suit sees it

its a combination indeed - finding the right one is the trick

I've seen those tricks for the Teclast C510HD and the C430T as well.

OK , I solved the problem by using virtual xp on windows 7 64 bit , first I tried phoenix tools there got some numbers on the side panel with green chinese text.Than after more than a month I saw the player turn on, but the screen was not aligned and the firmware was resetted to 0613 (the one I used with phoenix tools) Than I tried it again windows xp (over windows 7) correctly identified the usb driver. After that I kept trying to update the firmware from the livesuit.Actually when I correctly used the phoenix tools , the device was identified in windows 7 as mass storage device and because of me using windows xp over windows 7 , xp sees the device whatever windows 7 sees.So I bricked it again :) Than by sending unidentified usb device over windows 7 to windows xp.I installed usb driver succesfully and kept attaching and releasing usb in the virtual machine for the windows xp :) At last it updated successfully and I am using latest 02.24 firmware now ,which I found in imp3.net forums. Thanks all.

Good to hear you have solved the problem. How is the version 02.24 you mentioned? Any change or improvement?
