On the VX858LE there should be two small screws on the bottom of it, beside the miniSD slot. Remove those screws, and try to get the back cover off.
Read these instructions on how to recover a VX858 (different MP4 player than the one you have but the recovery procedure is the same, you will need at least Adobe Reader to view this document):

It may be easier to short the pins on the rectangular memory chip instead. It looks like three possibilites were found for the memory chip.


DO NOT TOUCH THE SQUARE CHIP AT ALL, THAT IS THE MAIN ROCKCHIP RK2608A CHIP.dewoine, use the firmware that previously worked for you once you get your MP4 player into "rockusb" mode.
