This new Onda player looks very nice and has a 2.8" screen. From the features, it seems that it's just a cosmetically different version of the new Teclast C290. I like the touchpad layout on the the Onda much more though, with it's left, right,up,down keys right in the middle of the pad.

Not too much information available for this product. From what we do know, the 2GB VX868 sports an LCD screen which extends 2.8 inches the width of the player capable of displaying at a frame rate of up to 24 fps. There is included video support for AVI and flash video (FLV) plus open format support for the XviD file type.
The media player doubles as a audio player providing audio support for MP3, WMA, APE, and FLAC file types (lossy and lossless compression types). Open format support is always a bargain…
Additional features incorporated into the player include the usual USB 2.0 interface but also dual-threading capabilities, LRC lyric support, photo viewing, TXT reading, an eight preset equalizer, and a FM tuner.

I was originally planning to buy the Ainol V2000 but then decided on getting the Teclast C290. The features seem to be exactly the same for the C290 and this Onda, So I'm trying to decide between them. Like I said the touchpad layout seems more intuitive on this Onda, but the Teclast is a little cheaper and a little slimmer. Decisions, decisions...

I just quickly checked out the Oppo V9. It does look nice. But I already decided that I won't buy anything with smaller than a 2.8" screen. I really want that little bit bigger screen to make watching some vids and showing photos more enjoyable.

You can download any clip from YouTube as a .flv using a firefox extension. One of the great things about the Teclast C290, Onda VX868, and the Ainol V2000, is that they all play flash .flv files without having to convert them.
