Teclast called out Rockchip, Telechips, and SoChip when comparing the capabilities of the T8100, so if it is a SoChip they're being rather coy about it.

well if its sochip then can you test MKV or AVI with multiple options like multiple subs files or multiple audio tracks as the vx575HD can not manage swapping between things, just plays the file

also can you check WMA as the 575 wil not play WMA at all, just chucks them out 1 by 1

oh and OTG - how does this player fare as the 575HD will only read from memory sticks, i cant connect anything else at all, no other players or phones or anything, it does not like them - just proper USb sticks, not even my simple SD card reader with 1 sd card in (its only sd card reader not multiple) - so far OTG is a disapointment

What I can say:

Multiple sound tracks.
- MKV 2 movies tested and workded correctly
- Tested: Shakira - La Loba - She Wolf (dual audio) by ROAR.avi - and only detected one track, so it seems it's not good with AVI dual audio.

Mutiple subs:
- Tested: Matrix.Reloaded.Trailer-640x346-XviD-1.0beta2-HE_AAC_subtitled.mkv, worked OK I was able to change to any of the included subs.

OTG:
- Tested 2 usb sticks - 2 and 16 G all OK
- Tested 2 Usb HDD (2'5) , 160 and 500 G, all OK (ovbiously with external power).

Is it just me or is this player looking pretty good so far? Raz, what's your opinion on this one? Potential mp4nation-item?

version 4.00 firmware available
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... 5gVXaoqc7g

also thake a look here as someone has loaded up the new CUBE H900HD firmware onto the player, they tried the Chuwi P7II but the buttons were all wronmg, just goes to show how these players run, same player, different shel, in reality there aint really that many players to choose from

anyway

so now the chip issue is sorted, same as chuwi P7II and cube H900 - there is no super secret teclast chip - lol

Oopps, Just upgraded to V4, really scaring process not knowing a bit about what the messages say, thanks a lot for the guides on this community, really helpfull, anyway it shouldn't be much difficult to make, at least, the upgrade process available in english.

I will do a full battery test tomorrow after it gets fully charged, it will be boring as I alreay know it stands for more than 4 hours playing mkv 720p (my commute from home takes 1h and it stood for more than 2 days 2+2h ).

So, till now, a pleasant surprise.
