The clarity, extension and detail through the mids and highs - there's no comparison. The Re0 are awesome, and more than worth the price. I'm constantly trying to justify buying another pair - I gave mine to my brother as a Christmas present. In hindsight - I would have been happy stopping my upgrade there.

I'm currently using the CX300 as my primary earphones and I've been looking for a new pair for the very reasons you mentioned. Love that its bassy, but its a bit muddier that I'd like.

I will say it's big but not huge. My son and i are managed to fit in the ear. He loves it and can tell the difference between the px100, cx300, RE0, beta, alpha..and begging me to keep this one..lol

I have no doubts about the SQ. Have read a lot about them.

But the re0's have a good sounding bass though? I do love the bass, but like the mids and highs to be separate and distinct.

It sounds good - there's just not a lot of it! It's not loud at all. A basshead would hate the Re0's, but I happen to love them. That's just the caveat I'd give out - if you need a good quantity of bass - you're not going to get it from these iem's.

No, RE0 is not for you if you like bass like i do. But it's very good if you listen to the classical music with mids and highs to be seprated and distinct.

My Clip still has the issue (v2 8gb), not tested my wifes Clip+. There's only 1 album (The Prodigy; Music For The Jilted Generation) where I can hear it on every track. The rest of the time I only hear it occasionally. It kind of "distracts" me, I thought I was going crazy until I read about it online.

So is the pitch problem on the Clip+ a show-stopper when it comes to buy-time?

I seemed to have read reencoding at 48k will minimize the problem...
but CDs come at 44k so thats a hack.

I have one, and i really like it. It sound as good as my cowon s9. I would recomment it to any1 for best value ratio (cost vs. SQ). The only thing i dont like is that the head phone jack is right above the volume rocker switch. It is annoying when you try to turn the volume up.

They moved the volume switch to the other side on the Clip+.
