 Post subject: Using My N1 for Flac =]

I didnt know it was supported?
but yeh i looked at maderin's post about EAC cd ripper and i ripped a few tracks into 1040kbps :)

they sound really nice on this device =]
have never used flac in my life i can safely say that im impressed so i might just ri a few more :)

lol i never used flac until i came here either. big file sizes but with a good player and a decent pair of earphones its really good as a format.

Make sure you use it in secure mode. The setup will configure it for you if you tell it accuracy is more important that speed.

This is a good find, i never gave flac a try as i was informed that it wouldn't be able to support it, which on the original sample and older firmware, it did not. Have to give it a try.

Hi ... I have just recd my N1 today ---- what a great little player!!

I am interested in how you got a flac file to play as the player only seems to select files based on tag info ie album, artist, genres etc.

In the specification section of the booklet for the N1 it states that it can also play aac & ogg files!! again how would these be played?

I was actually wondering that too, as i haven't been able to get my flac to work as the ID3 isn't being read. What sort of ID3 do you have on your flac files?
