Ramos has put together a nice visual representation of overkill and gives a shining example of exactly how to confuse customers and create an overpopulated line of very mediocre pmp's...The 'mix and match' approach to Ui design is a nice touch too I think, really adds to the confusion...

Well at least they are starting to concentrate on building better user interfaces, lets hope they keep improving on it and don't go back to stagnating like it was before.

yep, nothing like a nice slick looking and functional UI,can really make a player seem more pricey than it actually is

Yeah they have definitely improved a lot ui wise but 9 pmp's that all basically do the same thing! thats just ridiculous. It baffles me as to why they dont cut the range down to like three choices, cheap/mid range/high end. Then work on refining one fw/UI and adding new user customisable features/functionality to it for use on all three (eg. higher end model = more features). This would save them so much time. Also they could just work with one chip manufacturer again saving them a lot of time and hassle.

Also have some kind of continuity in the hardware design too. In my mind the T9 looks the best, why not just use slight variations on this design for all three (e.g higher res screen, tv out, different colours/screen sizes etc etc). Ramos have the resources to easily become a force in the global pmp market, they are just wasting their potential and they are not focussing their attentions in the right places..
