just poor engineering, the onda vx535 was also like this at times, just weird unexplainable noises and hisses out of nowhere, i dont think it's the headphones, could be the transmitter yeah, the os-81 doesnt have these problems at all

All my headphones do this though. As well, if it is this bad, I'm wondering about the S:Flo v2...

s:flo is a completely different player based on totally different processor - just because its teclast it does not make all their players the same -far from it,

and yes, i can hear it too with all the phones i have tried but it does go when the screen goes off for me

Can report that this is getting worse on mine now also. Different headphones and watching movies seemed to reduce it greatly or mask the noise so it wasn't a problem, but now I can even hear it whilst watching an action movie at a decent volume level. Quite distracting, and like a previous poster mentioned, sounds like it is worsening over time.

this is odd that its gets worse, its not like there are moving parts or anything
i am going to try a reload of the firmware, firstly via the player, if nothing changes then i am going to reload via the update tool and see if this has any effect

I haven't tried the firmware update as I don't really want to lose OTG and it's unclear if/when Nationites update version will include this. But if it does help the sound I'd give it a go. I notice some of the other (possibly older) user reviews make no mention of the noise, describing audio as excellent, so do some not have the problem at all?

before i sent my player for RMA (TF card issue) i was using it. it seemed fine. no noise as others have noticed. never tried the included phones with it. philips and sony headphones were tried, none of them produced noticeable noise with the screen on or off. the charger did seem to emit some noise, but was not through the head phones.
