So I got my T12 last week. Been playing around with it a bit. Very nice player. Love the TV out, and the much better vid restrictions vs my previous 1st gen player. Just had 2 problems.

1. The videos never start in synce. I have tried all different video files, all the way up and down the bitrate, in all different containers. It is easy to fix, all I have to do is fast forward a bit, but with the really fast fast forward, kinda kills my music vids. Not really a prob wit movies though, just annoying. Still, is this fixable?

2. I can't figger out how to change the background. I have the latest version I know of, 2.3.23. I have the 3 "desktops" I can use, but I see no way to add mine. Is it a button combo?

Other then that, I think this player is awesome. I have only had 1 crash, when trying to FF an AVI with a bad index. As expected, the battery life sucks, but I was prepared, and had bought a solar powered 5 AA (at 2700mhz each) charger with USB out. More then enough power now.


O, and I asked earlier about Flac H.264 vids. Well, the vids play. But it doesn't even try to decode the Flac, get no sound whatsoever. Guess it just doesn't load up the decoder when doing vids.

well sync problems i have not had at all with these new rockchip players -better give us all the juicy details of the video files so we can see what maybe wrong

not sure, i am sure rowwor said you can add custom back images, this is usually done in the image viewer, view an image and look in the image menu for an option to set background image

vids with FLAC or ogg - ape wont work, cant say i have seen a player yet from anywhere that can im afraid

Yep, setting a custom background is just a case of going to the image viewer and choosing 'set as background'. Very easy. I should note that if you use a custom background, there is a bug that causes stutter in the music player when you are on the main menu and use the scrollwheel.

Because the menu is not actually animated, I think it needs to generate a bitmap for each position of the icons. And when you use a custom background, it seems to create a delay while this bitmap is generated. Thats my guess anyway. Whereas the standard backrgounds are pre-generated and can display quicker.

All my videos are in sync im pretty sure. But there is an annoying hiss in the background for some reason.

I will get the vid details when I get back home.

As for the background. I don't have that option for some reason. I just have rotate, zoom, and slide show.

Make sure you have upgrade to latest fw to have the custom background option in image viewer.

Sorry bout the crappy Q. Just used my lappys web cam.
That is all the options I get using the attached file. Is there something wrong with that file? Does it need to be a certain format? Or AR? Or could it just be that something is wrong?
