Great review from T.W.P. :D

Just had one of these delivered from MP4Nation (less than 2 weeks from order date). It really does whip the Rockchip's a** !

I use Xilisoft DVD to MP4 converter, and as an experiment I encoded something at 2500 video bit rate (480 x 272). Totally smooth, jerk-free playback which remained fully in sync for the whole hour and 50 mins ! (going forward, I will probably use around 800).

My Rockchip-based OS43 only has smooth playback at 512 video bitrate. It's now relegated to the bottom my defunct technology drawer!

A+++ for the ChinaChip 1600 :!:

Video sure does, (at least against the RK2706) but I don't think audio can compete.

That's what I use as well, 805 video bitrate, as illustrated in the review.

I don´t like the "light" on the coners of the screen, makes the images/video a kind of crap.

I mean, the res is ok, great, but the light on the corners, i say the white light, makes the image like a little bit "glowing".
look the right coner on that picture: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p40/ ... /003-7.png
and the line over the top here: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p40/ ... /007-7.png

I thought that had more to do with the camera myself. I don't watch my player in those extreme angles anywhos, lol, just took the picture for the viewing angles. I got my player back out, just to make sure. I really don't notice anything.
