Trying to find a player that fits me.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I couldn't think of any other place. If it's incorrect, could a mod please move the thread?

I currently have an s:flo, and a RAmos rm970. I'm looking for a player that fits these requirements:
1) Proper ID3 sorting
2) I think I should say it again Proper ID3 sorting
3) Something larger than 8gb of space
4) Plug and Play usb syncing

By proper ID3 support, i'd like to be able to browse by Artist/Album/Song and for the player to correctly read the tags. Album art would be nice, but not a must.

Things I don't care about:
1) Video
2) Picture viewing
3) Price (within reason)

The only player that i've heard can support proper ID3 tags, is the meizu. But I feel this may be a bit small for my tastes (memory wise). I've had an iPod, and it was great. It was much more finished than the chinese players, but was a little too locked down for my tastes. I don't like having to use a program to sync my music, and all the usb accessories are nice for the s:flo.

Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? I've been looking into maybe the Cowon or Samsung players, can anyone speak to their ID3 tag support?

samsung player are fine with ID tags, no problems, all sorted and drill down properly as does the meizu but beyond that you wont find any Chinese player that will do tag sorting the way you want it, i have asked several Chinese people now and hassled manufacturers with no explanation as to why they will not do ID tag sorting from start to finish

cowon will be fine also

Alright, i'll look into them further. I think we had this conversation a long time ago. Such an important feature that is overlooked.

Are there any outstanding players from cowon or samsung that you could suggest?

Do you know if the zune hd will be plug in play? I remember the old zune requiring a lot of software to sync.

Still software-to-sync. That is the only reason why it is ever so smooth interface, and good boot up times.

maderin1, do you still have your P3? would like to see a video review on the sorting thing to see what the fuzz is all about

i have the P3 and yes, i intend to do a review as i also wanted to show how it handles and manages video as its a lesson the chinese players need to learn
as for sorting, its no big deal on the samsung its just done the proper way with tags so you never see a filenames in the list at all, songs are listed in track order where needed and its just normal really like all players beyond china do
