yeah the RM playback that was fixed in V1.02 is not on V1.03 (but still would strongly recommend not loading V1.02 firmware.

I appreciate that but rmvb playback is more important to me. Is there any way I can roll back to 1.02? I cannot modify the firmware using RK restore kit because the firmware is older than what is on the player. I cannot use the firmware upgrade function from the player because it does not recognize the firmware.

Figured out a way to roll back the firmwire but the rmvb playback is still nowhere close to smooth. Is it because of the hardware limitation? Should I consider getting a cc1600 based player?

truthfully my experience with RMVB is almost nil, i don't know if the RMVB playback is worse on the OS-43 than other RK27xx players as all the RMVB clips i have perform the same on the OS-43 as that on other similar players. It may be your files, but then again others have said the RMVB playback on the OS-43 is buggy.

Yes the CC1600 players can handle RMVB better, but then again they are a newer generation of chips and can handle all video formats much better than the now older RK27xx generation of players.

With the player plugged into your computer, press the reset button, and then install new hardware using the driver included in the 1.03 firmware. Afterwords, the player is completely refreshed without an operation system. You can then install 1.02 using RKrestore.

H Raz,

Have you heard any news about the Nationite version being worked on with the RMVB fast forward working as you requested.

I updated to the 1.03 firmware but the tv-out does not seem to enable with the power button like on the other firmware versions.

Is there a way to enable Tv-out or is this a bug with the firmware that needs to be fixed Raz?

Thank You.

Can Raz or Mandarin tell us if they can get tv-out working on the 1.03 firmware please.

It does not seem to work with the power button.

Is this broken?
