how do you know it is not the videos causing the synch problems?

I assume you're talking about the audio not matching the video and this is usually cuased by video files with too high bit rates for either video or audio.

Please Post the specs of the video files you are having problems with, and think of converting them using a program like viDrop

reduce the audio bit rate of your videos, keep it at about 128kbps and you will probably not get the lip sync issues.

this is a problem which has no solution, unless we know what the maximum capabilities in terms of video/audio bitrates en settings are for this chipset and what it maximum supports, some brands release this information (e.g. cowon) so until the manufacturer doesn't give us this information, you can trial and error until you go grey haired but the settings are endeless so it's impossible to get the perfect setting for this particular chipset (unless of course you knows it max capabilities)

i've tried so many videos on the os-81 and sometimes xvid videos with normal mp3 audio has sync issues, other times i can play AC3 audio no problem..

well the best way is trial and error, make some different conversion of the same video under different bit rates and such and find the one that works the best. Sometimes you don't need to convert, like if you download tv eps which are in xvid format and are about 350mb in size, these tend to work quite well on RK2706 players and don't need to be converted.
