Right i have sort of fixed it.

I dont have a clue how though so i cant help. Update manager is reading it and let me format the player. BUT, it's saying that Version of new firmware is older than the player. Now i dont understand. If anybody can help past this point then great but if not thanks to everyone that put suggestions forward.

just ignore that and continue with the repair and YES or OK everything

I had something very similar when I tried to change the theme. I downloaded 2 themes and had saved 1 as BMPO1 to distinguish them. Loaded it onto my player without taking out the "1" and all I got was the same screen as you. Could not access anything on the player at all.
To solve it I just did another update to v4.1 and it went back to the default theme and everything worked ok.
May not be the same as you, but thought I would let you know in case!

i have a onda vx777le sometimes it gets a red screen when i watch a video so i just put reset and turn it on again and it works fine ..i tried too many things when it didn't want to turn on and those programs didn't work on my mp4 when it turned on (just by itself) again it had the same firmware and everything inside without any change ...have you resetted it ?? there's a hole on your mp4 that says reset i guess .




si no me entendiste en ingles bueno a mi tambien me aparecian esas imagenes que tu has puesto asi ke intente de todo para hacer que funcione de nuevo pero no funciono asi que lo resetie presionando con un alfiler en el orificio de "reset" y ahora siempre que me pasa algo parecido hago eso y ya esta funciona muy bien prueba eso yo intente cambiarle el firmware xk el programa de recovery si lo reconocia pero siempre fallaba asi como a ti prueba reseteandolo de seguro k funciona bueno espero ke te haya sido de ayuda

there are several great recovery guides by seasprite in the forum with all the tools needed to fix your player so do not worry, red screen usually means a corrupted graphics file BMP0, sometimes it can be fixed by opening the partition and replacing but the best thing to do is reinstall the firmware with the PC tools, all of which are available in seasprites guides

I try very guides. but the PC cant guive formating the usb drive.

The PC can see the two drives NAND and SD but cant manipule that.
