The UI is amazing, much better than the initial pictures led me to believe. Is the screen made of glass or some other material? At this point im more worried about how scratchproof it is

The glass doesn't scratch easily, i took a pair of scissors to it, tried hard but got no scratches, so take that for what its worth.

The player has been to RAZ's torture chamber but it did not break, that says something right there... :-)

Hear the screams of mutilated VX545's...punished for their poor viewing angles....aaahhhhhhh

WOW looks good. I would probably buy it for the two headphone ports alone. Just a question though, are there independent volume controls or is it like most players where you have to hold two buttons to increase the volume?

I'm really confused about one thing on this video, and it is going to make or break it. He says that this player's "Standard Interface is bad for music"..or something like that, basically. So does Standard mean the one on the unbranded player, without the Nationite customizations, or what does that mean?

he means in general, this is the same on all the players using the same chip, like the onda vx545 etc etc, its just that the music part of the firmware is not really done properly yet, this is down to the firmware and all the players using the cc1600 chip suffer the same shortcomings, but just not sure where it will end up o how well it will get sorted out, by all accounts the sound of the players are excellent

but again, whats really trhe point is its a button navigation, so running through 100`s of music files could be a pain, but it does have a search facility which could prove useful

the search function is totally useless, it will take hours before you've typed anything and then even longer before you've found anything. you'll see a list with all your songs and, of course, they all start with 01-artist... so first you'll have to type 0 then 1 then.. well, you get my point. you'll be faster just browsing, trust me.

anyway like maderin pointed out, the clicky and slow button navigation is not handy for music on this player, poor displaying of id tag info, no album art etc. etc. too bad cause the audio quality is excellent

it only has one headphone port, the second is the TV out port.

The volume buttons are independent.
