N50-4.0.3-20120417-ALL !!

Countless hours of reading Google's badly translated Russian and Chinese pages weren't in vain, I stumbled upon what appears to be ICS for N50 while I was searching for custom ROMs for the N50GT_A.
Some people on that thread say it doesn't work for the first/original N50.

Thank you. It is much smoother than Gingerbread but I think this was a quick port of N12's firmware because someone forgot to change the internal memory's name when you mount it on the computer, it shows N12. Quandrant Advanced scored around 1500 with 'Force GPU Rendering' on and almost 1600 with it off, Gingerbread scores around 1700. Still trying to find a way to root it, SuperOneClick 2.3.3 crashes every time I try, does anyone know how to root the N12? That would help.

EDIT: About Quandrant's score, max clock frequency is set at 912Mhz. Probably why it scored lower than GB.

EDIT: SuperOneClick 2.3.3 didn't work, it froze every time I tried to root. But 2.3.1 did work, I finally rooted it. I don't know if it is a modified version because it was downloaded from a Portuguese forum.

EDIT: Grand Theft Auto finally WORKS!

Nice update,looks like we might have a winner here,slower clock and all...not that I found too much wrong with the stock Gingerbread---but thats just me

Tomorrow I will make a list of games and apps that work on this firmware. I still can't connect any of my bluetooth adapters or make phone calls with the E1750 dongle, if anyone knows how please tell me.

Few games and apps, the password is '"wall_" and the file names are just the inicials.

Hey, this looks neat, downloading it now. Will see if it works in a few.
I've some complains about the firmware I'm using now, figure I'll try this and if I'm not happy I'll try and mod it.

Well, seems to work. I like the desktop a little better (smaller icons) and the system setting is a little better with the scroling menu on the left, keyboard keys are a bit better as well.
Will have to play with it a bit longer to see if I prefer it.
Now I need to learn how to mod firmware so I can make it just the way I like it.

Oh, should mention.
It's hardware version N50GT

How'd you get it rooted?
Have a link to the version you used?
Exact steps would be great, I've bean trying for a couple hours to get it rooted.

Edited the first post with the link to SuperOneClick 2.3.1
Turn 'USB Debugging' and 'Allow mock locations' On in 'Developer Options', go to 'Storage' click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and go to 'USB computer connection', select 'Media device (MTP)' and connect the tablet to the pc.
Open SuperOneClick and go to the 'Advanced' tab, click 'Check Drivers', if you don't have the correct driver installed the program will force the installation, if you already have the drivers clicking on check drivers won't do anything and then Root.

The only thing I changed was getting it from you link instead of downloading it somewhere else.
