like the title said, i am trying to decide between ramos970 and ainol 2000se.
I saw both video review, both looks good.
The 2000se has a 3" 4:3 screen, it is bigger than 3" widescreen, right?
and it has higher resolution 640x480 too...
anyone use both?
I'll be using it to watching 4x3 rmvb tv eps mainly, which one is a better choice?
Thanks.

HI and welcome to the forum
do not worry, you are not alone in the quadry.
I have the RM970 and have documented my feelings on this player many a time.
At the moment RMVB play on this player is really quite bad, firmware updates seem to make it worse each time. AVI playback is good though.
The screen is nice on this player but not as good as the v2000se with its brighter and shareper LTPS screen, which also gives netter viewing angles.
I think the main reason people put these two together is that they like the v2000se and the screen etc but are swayed by the sleek and sexier RM970.
well the saying goes "looks are not everything"
All in all the v2000se is a much better player, better screen, better construction, frequent and useful updates, reasonable RMVB playback (but still not perfect) better buttons (rm970 buttons are AWFUL)
yes the ramos is better looking, but if you want a smart, robust player choose the v2000se, i wish i had

the s100 looks cool, but also widescreen, make viewing 4x3 TV soap like 2.4"...

maderin1, (u are mod, right?), do u think we should move this thread into the ainol forum instead?
seems like i started the thread in the wrong forum now...

Re: trying to decide between ramos970 and ainol 2000se
confusing advert
the main ad says its a v2000 player which is DIFFERENT to the v2000se player
v2000 = older ADI chip model and also never saw this in 8GB - out of production
v2000se = ingenics chip newer model - 4gb only at the moment ( as far as i know)
well i would wait as there are too many things that do not add up here
( i ahve removed link due to house rules)
