Ainol V7000HDA Arrived, But It's Not What I Expected :(

Postby VIPER » Sun Aug 22, 2010 11:18 pm

I received my Ainol V7000HDA yesterday, which I ordered from another site. BIG MISTAKE!!!

The player description said that it had the following connections: "3.5mm Headphone Output, AV, mini HDMI", so ordered accessories such as OTG cable, remote control and HDMI cable to go with it. On opening the box the first thing I did was check all the accessories where there. They were so then I took out the player to have a look at it properly, and I noticed that there was no HDMI socket! It's not as if they could say that the wrong specifications for the player had been used either, as it even said in the title: "Ainol V7000HDA 4.3-inch OTG 1280P HDMI SC9800 HD Player"

Before ordering I even sent several emails to try and find out more details about the player, before ordering, but got no reply. I guess at that point I should have come back to MP4nation and just looked for an alternative player here :o ops:

Needless to say I have now opened a PayPal dipute, due to item not being as described. I then received a reply saying "Hi, i have search for any email from buyer but no complains have been made. If you need any help please contact our support via contact form, email or live chat on store home page". That was it! Not even an apology or anything! Now awaiting a reply from the site directly. If I don't get one soon though I be escalating the dispute to a claim :x

In future I will stick with MP4nation, as I know that I can trust you guys to provide a far better service.

I'm not sure whether I am allowed to say the name of the site or not, so I will wait for clarification from one of the Mods or Raz before naming and shaming them

No need to mention the site. I'm sure most will know who it is anyways. Sorry you had a bad experience though. That sucks.

@TWP
You make it sound like I wouldn't be the first to have a bad experience with this particular company (which can abbreviated to 3 letters)

I'm thinking about getting the V9000HDA, or I might possibly spend a bit more and get the V6000HDT.

I blame Raz for all this, if he had only put the price of the V9000HDA down earlier then I would have ordered that from here and not looked elsewhere

Yeh so do I, I've not had to use the PayPal dispute system before, so fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your problem VIPER. This is one of the reasons why I prefer to buy PMPs from MP4. Some of the other sites look so shady, I don't trust them. I held out for a long time waiting for the V6000HDT to show up here because I didn't want to spend my money at another site and get scammed.

Well I normally always buy from MP4nation, but I decided to try someone else this time. The site I used actually looks very good/professional etc. And I did actually receive the player, it's just that it's not exactly as described  :o ops:

I've learnt my lesson though. In future I'm only buying from MP4nation, as the service is far, far better. I think that's why MP4nation is so successful, it has great customer service/forum.

Well I almost ordered it, but I'm not sure whether to in case the PayPal dispute doesn't go my way. I noticed you have the V6000HDT. Is the screen on that a lot better than the one on the V9000HDA?

I do not have the V9000HDA.
but If you look at raz's youtube channel he makes a comparison with the V9000HDA and the V6000HDT.
From the video besides the size of the screen the V6000HDT has better contrast and the V9000HDA has more brightness.
but there both really good screens.
