Image

wont go into massive details but its based on Rk2816

Now - what the hell is this???

take a look at the (appalling) render there - looks like its got some form of connectivity, there are comms apps on desktop and bluetooth icon, signal strength BUT no mention anywhere or WIFI or 3G
The image is truly mis-leading

from the little info we have it appears this maybe a PMP running android and NOT a tablet as we know them - good or bad .. its 1.5 android, is that good for gaming, as they make a point of games

This is kinda where many were thinking this was going to head (possibly), PMP using android but where is the line drawn, is this basically a normal PMP, no connectivity (wifi etc) just using the Android to build a new system, apps would need to be added via PC connection i assume as a normal PMP would

so, what will it cost?? is it a good idea?? would you go for something like this?? if no WIFI is it flawed??

Info is sketchy at the moment, dont read anything into the rather rushed and mis-leading images provided by teclast (android UI elements etc) its just they have chosen to stick an image of android on the player to stress that its "Android" - thats all

It probably will have wifi, i don't see them being that stupid. I think the RK2816 is supposed to handle android 2.1, i hope the info on the teclast device is just off right now.

well im surprised they did not add any comment to WIFI - even in this rather rushed advert, its something you dont leave out - im gonna hedge a bet and say its without wifi

this is all they quoted
Quote:
? Android Market to support many existing applications, G-Sensor Games ? 600MHz ARM9 processor ? Android system, all multi-format touch operation ? 720P video playback, multiple subtitles, HDMI high definition output ? standard development platform, PC Emulator

they do quote "market" for apps BUT still no mention of WIFI but make bones about G-sensor for games playing

Yeah, you'd think they wouldn't leave out something like WIFI. Makes no sense to me. Even if were a hurried job to get the ad out the door, you wouldn't think they'd forget. I don't understand what the hell Teclast have been doing lately. Case in point, the T56, lol. And I made a guide for it too, lol.

I think many of these branded manufacturers, over the last year, have been churning out players at such a fast pace that they've pretty much lost the plot, from what i have heard many of the key designers and developers have bailed to greener pastures, so now more than ever people like Onda, teclast etc are relying more heavily on desing houses than they used to for just about everything.

I couldn't agree more. Stick with a few good ones and improve on them. It is exciting when new players come out though, lol.

Looks like the new player is called the C520I. It has a 5" screen, and they also have the C430I, with the 4.3" screen: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... DlX9DbvUBg

The article also speaks of the T58, with MID capabilities. This has been in the rumor mill.
